External PSU or I bought a stupid Sony

I was wondering how safe and posible it is to run a PSU out side of your case? I seen that 600W external PSU but it costs $$$ and i would like to save some money. Basicly i bought a Stupid Sony and now I dont have the juice to power a new vid card Any ideas?

It'll be fine. It should have a normal cable (non-propriatory), so it'll plug right in. You want something like the Seventeam 500w external // XG Magnum 600w. It's designed as an external psu.

get this it is a dedicated PSU for a video card. if you have a 5 1/4" bay open it will be good
