Im trying to make a tiny pc to sit under my TV, and I was wondering whether id be able to power it with an external power supply (I'm going to make my own case and I want it as small as possible).
Inside will be a mini-itx motherboard, a core 2 duo mobile processor (not decided which one yet) a 40gb (which will probably get bigger) 2.5 inch hard drive, 2 gig of ram and a slimline dvd drive, couple of fans aswell. The concerning bit is a pci-e low profile 8500gt or 8600 card
Will I be able to power this with an external power supply? I know I can power the system without a graphics card, but is it possible with an external power supply? If not what is the smallest possible internal power supply I can get that will suffice?
Thanks in advance
