External HDD

Personally I stick with Firewire for hard drives when moving large amounts of data on and off it.

If you are looking at that drive it have Firewire anyways.

So do I, USB tend to have a larger usage overhead. Based on their desktop HDs I'd love to pick up a Seagate external.

Yeah, pocket USB drives are handy, I have a Seagate pocket drive myself. But for everything else it's firewire.

Thanks guys........

:) I chose that one because it is compatible with MacOsX since in the near future I'm going to get a 17" Powerbook...

Firewire it is then...

I have used USB2.0 external for exactly that reason. It worked without a hitch. I have external USB 2.0 HD and DVD burner. No problems.
