i was trying to get a hard drive working from an external ubs enclosure. i am trying ot get it to work with the philips dvp5960 dvd player. it has a usb input on the front that reads fat32 formatted disks. people have had limited success on getting this to work and i am in the process of doing such. the problem i ran into is i was using the program SWISSKNIFE to format the disk but i had an accidental restart in the middle of the format, now i cannot access the device AT ALL. i cant open any disk tools including swissknife or partition magic. i tried hooking it up to another pc and using a windows cd to format it that way but it still didnt show the full disk only part of it. i am now in the process of using a win98 boot floppy. is there any tool that will allow me to delete these half done partitions or whatever the problem is? all i want to do is get this drive to show up blank even i can hopefully take it from there. any help is greatly appreciated.
