I had a thread earlier in the hard drive forum about building an external hard drive for my g/f. Well she decided to go for the laptop drive in a case, and i was recommended

for the case, and

for the drive, however, im thinking of putting in my current laptop drive (40 gig, 16meg cache 5400RPM hitache) and getting myself an 80 gig or 100 or something.
Anywho, i was wondering if there was a way to format the whole drive MAC format from a PC, or no. I wont need to use it from the PC, just to format it to give it to her. I know just about jack when it comes to MACs as you can tell, but i know they have a different file system.
Also, let me know any opinions on that enclosure or a differnet one to get, and whether or not my laptop hdd will work fine in it and for a mac....ect.
Can Mac's read NTFS?.....just for file storage, not for running the OS
