I think this is the right forum since it falls under the category of Cooling, but if not, I apologize. I have an external 200GB WD HDD, in a UE720 enclosure. This thing is noisier than all three of my air cooled computers put together. Does anybody know the size of the fan that came with the enclosure? Anybody know any good fans that is nearly silent?

Again, I dont know the size of the fan but I'm guessing it could be a 30mm fan, give or take. Thanks, Randy

Make sure you're protected from shocky stuff, the just open it up and see what you need, that's the easiest way. Otherwise, you might be able to warranty it, that usually signifies a dying fan if it's really loud.
