hey, I have a 7200 RPM 60gb hd that I bought an external enclosure for, and I was wondering if I pull the USB cord (that goes from the external enclosure to the computer ) out before I safely remove it by pressing on the stop hardware safely button, will it corrupt my data? because I have done it several time before and I dont want to mess up my HD because I have so many gigs of preceous hardware lol, Thanks!!

probably not.. maybe if you did it in the middle of a file transfer.. you can always recover data off a non physically damaged drive. but its not fun..

Why do you have to ask? It just takes another second to eject the drive properly.
