Hey everyone i was wondering if an external hdd thats usb 2.0 work with a usb 1.1 port ...
 
Performance will be incredibly slow on a USB 1.1 port. Can you install a USB 2.0 PCI card? What HDD are you looking at? If it's a laptop you may want to look at replacing the internal HDD. Others here are more up to date on this area than I am, however.
 
it'll work, but i wouldn't want to transfer more than a couple hundred megs unless I was desperate. It'll take about 15mins to transfer a gig.
