Can this be done? Say I have an external with USB and Esata, can i hook one to my mac and one to my PC? Reason I want to do this I want all my music on both my computers.

Yeah problem with that is I want to use Itunes in my Mac to sync with my devices, but I want to play my music on my PC. I know I could put the music on the mac, but its a macbook and not always sitting here at my desk. I have it hooked up to the 27 inch cinema display.

then share it on the network from the PC and map the drive on the mac. the mac will see it as a virtual hard drive and itunes will index it.
