I cannot access the data on my Buslink USB 2.0 external hard drive. My computer (Windows XP Home) cannot access it. In the Device Manager I get the following error:

"This device cannot start. (Code 10)".

The unit is powering up and I hear the disk spinning. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the device and have tried installing new drivers, but I still get the same error.

Any ideas? If the disk is inop, any ideas on how to save the data? All my family photos are on this hard drive.

You can try posting here for a reply, I tried posting a very similar problem a few days ago and ended bumping it to hell. The only advice I can give you is to try a program called getDataback for NTFS, it let me see my files. Also try putting the drive on an actually motherboard and testing it.
