External Hard Drive Enclosure ?'s

I'm been searching around for some time for an external hard drive enclosure to use in RAID 5. I currently have (3) 3 TB WD Hard Drives waiting for an enclosure. After looking around for some time, I think I have narrowed down my selection to this one.

Has anyone had any experience with that enclosure or similar enclosures? My question is I currently have 3 HDD's, would a device like this support adding a fourth HDD once it's configured in a RAID 5 array, and is that even possible?

Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated. I'm looking for additional storage for an open source NIN/HTDA fan archive. Thanks.

personally the only external drive enclosure that does its own RAID 5 that I would use is a drobo...

otherwise I would get an enclosure with a Port Multiplier and use a hardware RAID 5 card in the PC to control the raid array...

at least that way if the enclosure fails the drive's data is still readable with the card and if the card dies then since it is from a good manufacturer with a real warranty than you can either get a new card or buy something from that same brand that will recognize the array.

I would be leery of a RAID array being controlled by the enclosure (unless it is a drobo)

but that is just my own personal opinion based on my own experiences
