External ESATA Docks

Wondering if anyone has had any experience with external 3.5" ESATA docks.

Want one that is ideally based off a reliable and compatible chipset with no hardware or software limitations. Been looking at the Thermaltake units and they seem to have their faults.
 
I had some issues with mine (Thermaltake) mostly related to getting 2 drives to work at once. Worked right out of the box in Linux, couldn't get it to work in Windows. Single drive works fine regardless, so it's something to do with port multiplier support in software. If you want hot swap capability you need to have the SATA port in AHCI mode.
 
I have a Thermaltake BlacX as well (SATA single drive version). It's a couple of years old now and I've never had any issues with it.
