external enclosures w/ ethernet jack?

i'm not really sure where to post this

is there such a thing as an external hard drive enclosure that has an ethernet jack? i'm thinkin it would be pretty nice to have a hard drive that is connected straight into my network so i can just put files there. i don't feel like building another whole machine just for file serving, so this is why i ask if there are external enclosures w/ ethernet jack. any recommendations and suggestions are welcome.

You are looking for a NAS system. There are plenty out there. Just google for them. Just be careful there are some that require specialty software to access the HDD. Try to find one that you just hookup to your network and thats it. Also some of them are pricey. Sometimes its cheaper to just build a file server.
