I am currently in the market to purchase a new 3.5" IDE external enclosure with USB/Firewire interfacing. The drive will be used primarily for music storage as an extra library for iTunes (so it might be running for a while). Going into the external is a Maxtor Diamondmax 10 (the 16MB buffer version). I realize it's not the best drive, but it's what was in my LaCie D2 before the bridge crapped out.

Here are what I've narrowed my search down to:

1. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817145154

2. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817392003

3. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817387008

Suggestions other than these three are more than welcome. Thanks in advance.

I've used (2) before and *don't* recommend it. Drive gets too hot.
