External drive not being recognized

I threw an 80gig Maxtor into my external enclosure and it's not working. I set the drive to master (also tried CS and slave to no avail) and MMC recognizes it. I formatted the drive as primary and set it to active. I gave it the drive letter D: and rebooted. It's not showing up in My Computer and it says "The folder D:\ does not exist". PartitionMagic recognizes it as D:\ and Ghost sees it as *\. What am I missing?

EDIT: I can access the drive in Command Prompt but not Windows. This is weird.

All fixed. Reinstalled Windows and it recognized it fine. Odd. Isn't that so clever what I did with TTT? I deserve a medal.
