External Case Fan Controller question...

I'm thinking about running an external toggle switch for a few of my case fans. I only need them when gaming for longer periods and otherwise they are really noisy and annoying.

My plan was to daisychain them (molex connectors) and then control them with a switch like the following on the molex 12v power lead:

Is there any reason this wouldn't work?
 
I'd rather just spend the ~$20 and get a nice fan controller, but sure that switch would work fine.

Well, most of the fan controllers I've seen are more in the $35+ range and most seem to get rather mixed reviews. Whether they induce buzzing on the fans or simply crap out after a month I have to say that looking at most of the fan controllers didn't really motivate me to buy one. If you have one you recommend I' be happy to look at it.

The fans I have are not horrible all things considered but there's still a pretty big difference with them off. My case temps are still OK without them running but during gaming etc. I'd like to be able to flip them on/off for maximum cooling. My mobo unfortunately does not all for software control of anything but the cpu fan.
