I don't see how a device powered by 2 AA batteries - that's 2 x 1.5 volts = 3, or if you put rechargeables in it that would be roughly 2 x 1.2 volts = 2.4 - is putting out either 4.3 volts or even better 4.7 volts. I'm going to guess they made a typo and it should say "Uses 4AA batteries" 'cause if it's giving up more than twice the output that it's getting for input, someone needs to call Scotty and have him beam me up 'cause that just broke a ton of laws of physics. :)

I think it's just a typo, but looking at the images - and I can't find a real spec sheet anywhere, they're all just saying the same info on every website and fleaBay ad I can find - it does seem to be a 2 AA capable device, it could even be a 4 AAA device. I just can't tell from the pictures.
