Extended Partitions

I run a dual boot with Ubuntu Linux and Windows XP. Right now I have 4 partitions (Windows, root for Ubuntu, /home/ for Ubuntu and a 1GB swap for Ubuntu). I want to install FreeBSD but I can't have more than 4 primary partitions on 1 drive. So I was thinking, what if I put all 3 of the Linux partitions on 1 extended partition, so that I could triple boot with FreeBSD? Would there be any foreseeable problems with this setup? Is there any way to put the three partitions on an extended partition without reinstalling and creating it from scratch?
