Extend desktop fail - Radeon HD 6450 - Win XP

Got a PCIe Radeon HD 6450 from PowerColor in a Dell Optiplex 745. Latest AMD drivers. Connected to two identical HP 1702 flat screens.

When I try to extend desktop to second monitor ("Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor"), the moment I click Apply, the screen flicker - as per a resolution change, for example - and Windows resets my options back to unchecking this box. Nothing happens on the second monitor, no flucker, nothing. I have tested other monitors, cables, and an identical card.

I'm out of ideas. How about you guys? :p
 
Does your tv work with other computers/cards? Sounds like it's just on the wrong input if it isn't the card.
