ExpressCard SSD as boot drive?

Does anyone have experience using an ExpressCard SSD as a boot drive? I'd like to use one in my laptop (15" Macbook Pro). Supposedly, it will give almost instant boot and program-launch times. Amazon sells a number of them. Newegg had this one, but it was out-of-stock
Any brands I ought to look for, or avoid?

After several false starts, and much procrastination on my part, I have the system up and running, booting from a 48 GB Wintec ExpressCard SSD.
The link does show the card I have, but I would avoid buying from the Amazon merchant HotDeals4Less. My initial false start happened when I got a card from them. I mistakenly put the SSD on a Christmas list, without making sure to specify the data transfer rate I needed. I ended up having to send the card back, and it was difficult, and very time consuming to get a full refund out of them.
Moral of the story: the system works well. Boot time is much improved, as is application launch time. Be sure to check the transfer rates before buying a card for this purpose. The first one I had was basically a funny shaped 64 GB thumb drive.
