I have a Dell XPS M1210. Not long ago, I tried running SpinRite 6.0 on it, against a hard drive connected via a friend's Express Card eSATA adapter - SpinRite didn't detect it. The SpinRite environment is based on FreeDOS and can see drives connected to the on-board SATA controller perfectly well (Intel Centrino chipset).

AFAIK, FreeDOS doesn't have specific driver support for on-board Intel SATA controllers, therefore it must use INT 13. So the question is: since Express Card is PCIe-based, are there Express Card eSATA adapters which support INT 13?

Many thanks. :)
