Exporting Outlook e-mails?

how do i go about exporting e-mail files to a particular folder, or if they already are, where can i find those? it's for a friend's dad. makes me glad i hate outlook
 
Are you wanting to export single messages or say, your entire inbox?

SIngle messages I'm not sure about. But, O and OE both contain an export funtion under the file heading. You can export in various formats if you desire. You can also pick your particular boxes you want to export. The files are available as well. Google search works well for specific locations.
 
Another easy way if your going to reformat is to export you mail account settings to an *.iaf file then copy the following folder in Document and Settings:

C:\Documents and Settings\"User"\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{F0F27FB3-37EE-4789-BFF1-2C46E921AD83}\Microsoft

It'll keep all your folders and Messages intact.
