EXPLORER Replacements?

Was wondering if anyone knows where i can find replacement programs for Windows when one shuts down EXPLORER.EXE. I have searched around and can't seem to find anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Like a replacement shell? I don't really understand what you mean by shutting down explorer. You can replace explorer altogether, though, with a different shell. A couple popular ones are aston(commercial) and litestep(free). I never really cared for either one, though. I tried aston but it didn't seem very clean back when I used it. Litestep is okay. It seems like litestep is used by anime-loving computer geeks who think they are really cool and smart by not using explorer but they still need windows to baby them through everything. Though I'm basing that observation on one person so my view might be a bit skewed.
