when i access my G drive(C, F, G on a 120 gig) explorer crashes and says its currupt. files are still there, can see them in partition magic. but i can't open the drive up to browse files.

any suggestions?? i've done norton disk doctor, scan disk ect... no effect.

do you have some kind of data you don't wanna loose? if not - try reformating it... otherwise... you could try connecting the HD to another comp and see what happens...

Try another computer. Also, any chance of a virus on that partition? Just an idea.

I’m going to backup data, reformat, and restore the data.

No viruses, spy ware ECT... have run scans, doesn't guaranty, but I trust nothing bad software wise on drive. BTW this is a new drive.

trying to borrow a HDD from a friend, but this is the error i get.

"Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library"
Runtime Error!

Program: C:\WINDOWS\explorer.exe

abnormal program termination

is it possible that you have 2 drives (like the new one and a virtual CD or something) assigned the same drive letter?

i dont know if thats even possible :)

no i don't have any virtual drives because i have never had good experiences in the past with them (both on my system and friends' stystems.)

i reformatted the drive and it seems to be gone.

There's been a virus going around IRC that corrupts your IE program. I don't know how to fix it though.

If you were on IRC, and you clicked the link below, it was a virus.

DO NOT CLICK THIS LINK, IT IS A VIRUS
