I currently have my 2600-M at 12.5x200=2.5ghz with 1.75v and when I'm in windows, everything works fine, but occasionally Explorer will close down on me at random points and I don't know what's causing it. I'll go to click Start, that works fine, but sometimes when I click All Programs, I get the hour glass mouse, then explorer closes. The most recent was today when I was copy and pasting a word file to another location; I went to paste it, and explorer closed. I have no idea what's going on, but I'm in the process of backing everything up for a format to see if that helps (and my computer is so cluttered with junk, it'll give me a fresh start anyways). Do you think my computer will keep doing this after I format and keeping my cpu at 2.5ghz?
BTW: What is the default multi and fsb for the 2600-M and why when I select a multiplier above 12.5 does it take the overall speed of my computer down big time? I.E. I had it at 13x200 and it was clocked at like 1.1ghz. Whats this all about? Is it my mobo? (Asus a7n8x dlx. w/ 1.007 bios)
