This is starting to make me ill. This is how bad this problem is, how persistent it's been, and how absolutely helpless I am after 8 or so months trying to fix it.

If anyone out there knows the magical solution, I might just consider them God.

Situation is as follows: I had no problems up to and including the 185.85 Forcewares. Everything worked hunky dorey.

Ever since then, and that's about June, I've had this particular problem and I feel like even if I bought an entirely new PC, I'd still get this issue, that's how ingrained it's become. Everything I try fails, and that's a lot of attempts.

It's driving me crazy, and refuses to be resolved.

Ok, the problem...

I have a 42XV505D Toshiba REGZA HDTV. I also have an Iiyama LS902UT 19" CRT monitor.

The monitor is my main display for PC use, but I use the TV for gaming at HD resolutions.

However, no matter what I do, since the 185.85s, using Multiple Displays in the Nvidia Control Panel has become an absolute nightmare. I right click on the desktop, and choose Nvidia Control Panel, and instead of it coming up as a dialogue, whatever monitor I am on goes into standby, the other one turns on and gives me the dialogue. Basically, Nview use has become impossible and unpredictable.

Now, one significant factor is that I am on an SLI system, and I have noticed far less problems when I disable SLI or one card. In fact, it all seems to work ok under those circumstances. But when I turn on SLI or re-enable the card, the system becomes beyond volatile.

As you may expect, this is not wholly useful. I need the full power of both cards, AND smooth and predictable use of Multiple Displays. I've tried different SLI bridges, and switching the 2 cards around, but that didn't help.

I need: the current drivers for the performance gains

Both cards in SLI so I have full performance

Multiple Displays/Nview to behave itself completely so I can use it it rather than watching in horror as my displays blink on and off in complete random and aggressive tones. Oh yeah, that happens too.

Any wonderful suggestions?
