My guess is that they're trying to sell as many of these as possible before Conroe's big debut. Or, they just felt like having a round of price cuts, maybe to give them even more of a price advantage over AMD.
 
theyre trying to hit AMD and hit them hard!

Take a look at AMDs stock price for the past month or two

They added the 960 and killed off the bottom end. Good yields on 65nm, apparently.

Time to research how well those 930s overclock.

Yeah, you just need a decent board. I run mine at 250 fsb 24/7 with Virtual Server R2 with 2 2K3 R2 Citrix boxes up and running for application testing. Temps are always high 20s, low 30s depending on load, good stuff.
