Expected AC wifi transfer speeds?

I recently got a new Archer C7 router/T4U wifi adapter.
According to Windows, if I put the router right next to my computer and connect to it via wifi over the 5ghz band, I get an 867 mbps connection (the rated maximum of the T4U). I tried copying a 700mb test file from my NAS several times, and got an average of 20-30MB/s, depending on the run.
I then repeated the test using ethernet, and got 110MB/s.

Shouldn't my transfers be faster than this? Is there anything I can do to speed them up?
 
That's about right. After overhead you usually only get about 30% of rated speeds. I have that same router as well as an ASUS AC router, Linksys AC router, and two enterprise based access points by Areohive and Xirrus. The throughput I get is the same.

It really depends on the environment that your in. Placement of objects in the room, wiring, & plumbing all effect this. Of course the hardware being used makes a big difference. And then there is the file type that is being transferred. Whether the neighbors have a 5ghz wireless house phone can also interfere. I can get a sustained 100MBs transfer speed out of mine while transferring a full dvd on my AC network with the Asus wireless AC card. Most other files will give me between 50 to 80 MBs. I played around a lot with router placement to get the perfect position for high sustained transfers.
 
Yeah, that seems a bit low to me. I've no experience with 802.11ac, but get up to about 25MB/s on my 802.11n (airport extreme).
