I got off the phone with Koolance today.

They said they are working on Exos 2 and that Hardocp already has a reivew sample....

Basically it has 3/8 tubing and uses 2 120mm fams on top simalar to the new Pc3-700.
and has 10 fan settings unlike the exos now which has 3.
It was suppose top be out in Mid Dec but now it wont be out till Jan.

Look awesome except the price the said said a little less than the Pc3 700 which is like 400 bucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Koolance are good people. I live a couple blocks away from their office. I bet the first ones to carry it are going to be Infotech www.infotechnow.com. They tend to be the first to retail koolance products since they are neighbors.

Their Exos units are pretty, no doubt, but $400 bucks is steep when you can put together your own with very little skill and $150 in parts, including CPU and GPU blocks.

I wish them the best though.

(How close is that in cost to a basic phase cooler?)

Well my Koolance system cost me $260 dollars with the waterblocks.for GPU and CPU. Performance was excellent. After reading the forums I got discoraged about my purchase and figured I could get much better temps with a custom setup. It looked good too with very little modding.

So i decided to put my koolance stuff to my server and do a custom set up on my gaming rig. Started ordering what i wanted and next thing you know to get it looking good I spent well over $260. Granted the watercooling parts cost about the same as the Koolance but to make half inch tubing fit inside a mid tower is [H]ard. Not to mention a Double Heater core.

DD TDX $50
PolarFlo TT GPU $45
DD Liang D4 Pump $75
Bay Res $25
Heater Core W/Shroud $50
2 74CFM Blue LED fans $25
Clamps/Tubing $20
Lian Li PC75 Case $200

About 10 Hours Assembling/Modding Case

So after everything was done I was expecting a huge temperature drop. After my AS5 set after a week my cpu idle temp dropped 3C at idle compared to my Koolance. The nice thing was under load my delta was only 4-5C. With the Koolance my load delta from idle was 8-10C. So having spent in excess of $500 for a new case and 1/2 set up I will say that its nice but wasn't really worth the trouble.

heh....typical, after i finally get my watercooling stuff up and running they come out with a better one. i figured they would be doing this as soon as i saw the new koolance setup.

Yup, installed my exos just this Monday...

Anyway, it works great so I am happy. But $400??? What's up with that

the $400 is the cost of the new case they came out with, not the upcoming exos2.

i wonder if koolance is going to come out with new waterblock designs. they dont necessarily need to because the cpu-300g allready comes with in a 3/8 fitting size, but both gpu blocks only come in 1/4 fittings.

No new blocks need just the 300g with the 3/8 fittings

the $400 is the cost of the new case they came out with, not the upcoming exos2.
I asked the guy how much it would cost and he said and I quote
" a little less than the pc3-700"

I hope he was wrong I really do. Other than the fans , tubing size and fan controler not much as changed and there no way those changes cost $150-200 bucks...

The real question is when will Kyle and the gang post a review of it.. Any hints?????

DanD, I think thats an honest appraisal of comparing two different watercooling methods. I just sold my Exos and already regret it, simply because its so easy to set up and run and I could've put it on another machine. Cooling was always satisfactory, and I have no delusions that the custom setup being built will give dramatic cooling drops. The fun is in the building of it, and I've overlooked the substantial cost increase. From a practical standpoint the Exos is the way to go IMO, and in the end I'm hoping that the expense and long wait for the components I've ordered make it all seem worthwhile.
