Was looking forward to both. This has 2 years until release, sounds like there are some troubles behind the scenes. Expanse is coming sooner regardless. I hope the Expanse is more action RPG and less resource collecting RPG; this looked closer to Mass Effect games.
 
In truth i'm leaning towards expanse as the better of the two. I have more faith in owl cat but in addition i really like the expanse books (which are much better than the tv series).
 
I'm starting to get hyped for this, but I don't want to disappoint myself with high expectations.
 
Agreed. It's looking very Mass Effect~ish, and that's not a bad thing, if the story is good.

looks like Ohlen is no longer involved with the game...on December 17th 2025 it was revealed that James Ohlen had stepped down from his role as Studio Head at Archetype Entertainment...

This looks like the closest we will getting a new game in the style of the original trilogy. The gameplay, that they have showed so far, reminds me a lot of the mass effect series and looks really fun. Also a big fan of Peter F. Hamilton so have big expectations for the story as well. This is one of the few titles on for release in this or next year that I am really looking forward to.

After looking at this I'm not sure if this is for me.
Lot's of Ubisoft "helping", where your next step is made very clear by pointing to your next objective at all times like your 5 years old or at least have the mental capacity of a 5 year old, and this looks to be set on a space station, so why would you need to swing in a rope like Indiana Jones to cross a gap? Wouldn't you be weightless in space? 🤔

Think Expanse looks much more promising.
 
They are all over the place, groundside and space. And high technology enough that gravity is expected on anything of decent size (but I do hope for zero G stuff). Expanse is very much different, but equally promising in my eyes.
