Exchanging 17" LCD

I got a Dell 17 inch LCD 1703FP monitor a week and a half ago (was in Florida for the past week). The monitor looks great, and the features are great, but it's got a fairly bad ghosting effect in games, specifically certain levels in UT2k4 (levels it seems where there's a big difference between light and dark areas on the screen). have an older Dell 1701FP monitor on my other computer, which I tried on this one with the same settings and had no problems what so ever. It seems kind of strange that the newer model seems to have a worse quality . . .

I am planning on exchanging/returning the monitor. So far I'm considering the monitors below. Any suggestions/comments on which might be best? The Samsung172X seems to be the best from what I've read so far, but also not the easiest to find to purchase.

The Viewsonic monitor sounds a little to good to be true. It shows in the specs that it's "HDTV 720p ready," does that mean if I exchanged my cable box for the HDTV-version I'd be able to plug it directly into my monitor and use the screen as a HD TV? If anyone has it, how is the picture quality on this one, specifically as far as gaming is concerned.

Monitors (More or less in the order I'm considering them):
VIEWSONIC VP171b 17-inch LCD Monitor

Samsung 172X (the only one in this list so far that Dell doesn't carry)

NEC/MITSUBISHI MultiSync LCD1760NX-1 17-inch Black LCD Monitor

SONY CORPORATION DeluxePro SDM-X73/B 17-inch Multimedia LCD Monitor

BENQ FP791 17-inch Silver/Black Multimedia LCD Monitor

Thanks.
