last week i set up a thread about how i couldnt oc my inno3d 6600gt agp at all ---> here

i exchanged my card for a new one and the card layout was diff, the were lots of gold plated stuff instead of the normal silver stuff, looks good to me! 2.0ns memory instead of the old 1.6ns and there is an extra mosfet at the back.

i believe this is a new revision because there original version was a pos and they knew it. read several reviews where the pci-e 6600gt's were ok but the agp versions were screwed. also read at mvktech forums that inno3d germany knew abt the prob and were correcting the agp board design.

so now i have my card at 560/1150, so if any of you have an inno3d 6600gt agp and are having problems with it, u shud go and change it. ;)

if anyone wants pics i'll take them. but right now i'm too lazy to take my card out.

Its not cool to return your card simply because it wont OC. You arent ever guaranteed an OC, and its NOT covered by the warranty...

I didn't mention that I got severe artifacts when i played Far Cry on the lowest setting. For example there is a reflection of and island in the sky (Fort level) and i get 2fps(yes TWO) while driving the boat. i had to underclock the memory to 930mhz to make it playable. so i believe i have the right to exchange the card if it's not working as advertised.

I tried to rectify the problem, tried many drivers, reformated my harddisk, applied as5..

And I did get a better card which I'm satisfied with. So my point is that I did get a bad card.

Actually, when you applied the as5 it voided your warranty. =p

But of course if its fucked up then return it.

It may not be right to you, but if he's not satisfied with the card for any reason, he has the right to return it if they allow it. I returned a cable modem to Circuit City because I felt like it, does that make me an asshole or a criminal, I certainly don't think so. I don't know why everyone has this mindset. It's like you all are drones repeating the same things over and over like you are the judges for what is morally right and what's forsaken.

I second what you said there.

In this case, if a video card will not OC even 1 MHz, there is something seriously wrong witht the card. So the "you shouldn't return b/c it can't OC" doesn't even apply here.

Congrats on having a better card. Looks like a nice OC now too.

there's a reason. Who do you think eats that overhead when somebody returns a card? It's not the manufacturer. It sure as hell isn't the store.
