Yesterday when I opened up my outlook all of the e-mails in my inbox suddenly disappeared. I then logged into OWA to see if they were there and they were gone as well. It didn't happen to any other user, just me. I went to the exchange server and checked my mailbox store. My username still shows 400+ e-mails being stored, yet I can't see them. My views are set to show all messages. I can see all other folders, including a personal folder for incoming mail. I can receive new e-mails to my inbox, but I can't see any of my old e-mails. Thanks for any help.
 
I forgot to mention. I've also tried it with both cached exchange mode and without it. I have very little exchange server experience, so any suggestions are helpful, although I'd rather lose all of my old e-mails than manage to take everyone elses down with me :D
 
Yes as to restarting the server. I'm not sure about the auto-archive. Does exchange autoarchive somewhere on the server. They aren't on my machine, I've checked all the psts and osts.
 
sounds like outlook problem, not exchange problem
 
To to Tools -> Recover Delete items, are they there?

If they are not, then the server is not configured to have that option enabled. If it is, there is a registry change you make on Outlook with the problem. The emails are still there, just flagged for deletion. Then they are gone after the next sucessful backup of the information store, if I recall correctly.

Hopefully you have deleted item retention enabled on the server?
Google for "dumpsteralwayson" and see if enabling the dumpster in Outlook helps.

It syncs the changes....

It sounds to me exactly like mine does every morning. You see all the old stuff, then it syncs it all away (as I had deleted it from my phone).

Sounds like you (or someone else) deleted them, then when it synced, they went away.
