im looking for some software that would make me be able to extract the lyrics from a song and leave the beat and vice versa. basically i need some good audio production software. i got cool edit and adobe audition, but i need something more powerful. moneys not an issue, just need some good stuff. any suggestions plz post.

thanks

how would u go about doin it? ive asked a couple of ppl whos pretty good with the prog and said it cant be done

um....i don't think this totally possible in post production...Most of those progs will just remove ranges. You may lose some "music" too. Props to Audacity if the program can do it.... but idk

Most "voice removal" stuff works by simply eliminating everything that's mixed in the center, where voices commonly are. Unfortunatly, voices aren't alone in the center usually, and you'll end up losing more stuff.

That's exactly right. My audigy 2 ZS came with three different modes of removing lyrics (one of which is identical to doing the "split and invert" trick in audacity) but all of them decrease the sound quality, and none of them actually get rid of all traces of the lyrics in any of the songs I've tested them on, unfortunately. However, it's the best I've ever heard of for removing lyrics, and it's better than nothing.
