I need to keep track of the duration of phone calls. They are generated delivered to me in text file and then I cop them into excel. The problem is Excel uses a time of day to represent the duration. like a 0:03:00 phone call is stored in excel as 12:03:30 AM even though it displays as 0:03:00. Thats fine when only working within excel but makes importing into access nearly impossible. Any suggestions?

maybe right click the cell and choose format cells...on the number tab its probably highlighted to time in category...choose the custom in the category list then scroll down the type column and you should be able to see an option to just display time in whatever function you need
