Looks awesome, awe-inspiring even. Great work. I love your workstation as well. What desk is that? The sofa rocks, too. :)
that desk is from IKEA. if i remember right, it was only $129.

wow, nice work on that case..... this is all making me very antsy to start my project.

Definitely awe-inspiring. I'm doing a WC set up after Christmas, and this has just given me a few ideas. Very cool case.

I was going to tell you to swap your computers around so you could show off your new one more, then I realized you'd have to stand up every time you needed to swap a CD. I almost have to do that now and it sucks. :)

What did you use to fasten the windows to the side panels? From the pictures it almost looks like pop rivets. Just curious because I'm contemplating using rivets on a window for my sisters case I'm working on. Big rivets I thought would look kinda neat.

Once again, excellent job.

Thanks everyone! I have a few more things to do with it. Im thinking of putting in a matrix orbital display but I dont know if I can justify the cost. You might notice in the pics that the floppy bay on the top has no cover. I need to figure out a good way to cover that hole up, because there is no clearance for any type of device with the radiator up there. I was thinking maybe some mesh screen or something.

I used rivets. I really like how they look and they are much more solid and secure than double sided tape.

That looks fantastic. Very good work. Did that res wind up being stable with just that one extra support and the hose?

Awesome job. You need one more small project to finish off your workstation. HIDE THOSE WIRES! All you need is a flat color something attached to the horizontal brace behind your desk that goes all the way to the floor so you can't see the cables.

Thanks man, the res was fairly stable, but not as stable as I had hoped. A black zip tie took care of that though and now its pretty solid.

general wiring tip, send signal down one side and power down the other

You can get a used 24x2 LCD panel for like $4.00 there. They'll charge you $6.00 to ship it, but that's still $10 for a 24x2 LCD!!!
thanks for the link, but those require extra electronic work and software right? those are skills that i wish i had. the matrix orbital ones are ready to go i believe.

You forgot the flux capacitor.
lmao! i knew there was something missing!

the desk - someone asked what it was -

a person replied that they thought it was an IKEA desk - it is! it's the Jerker (i'm not making this up).

i got one for my wife and i will soon be getting one for myself. it's very nice desk - steel framing, adjustable height, very open desk space.

You know what's funny Ewarz....I still have those hard drives along with a seagate 100mb and they still work LOL!! I still have that batch file floating around somewhere too.
Want a ST412 or a ST225? I think I even have a Kalok floating around here somewhere! Even got a 286 12Mhz somewhere too. I am an old DOS tweeker too. Used to write batch menus for customers so they could run Win95 or Win98 whenever they wanted to and still play the ole DOS games.

ewarz: Very, very nice job there! :D Looks like I am going to have to mod my Lian Li PC75B just to keep up with you guys lol :p

i could use something like that that would allow me to run dos/win95/98 games that won't work right in xp... without having to dual boot or pay through my bloody arse for virtualpc.

if i had any $$$ i'd pay for it too... but i don't :(

look at my desk I got it at ikea

I have that same desk, maybe its my office chair but I think it sucks if you have a 21 inch crt monitor... would probably awesome if I could convince myself that there is an lcd even worth wasting money on for games.

Ah, the 20MB MFM Seagate ST225. I had a few of those until I switched to RLL drives.

I could put it in my original 1982 IBM PC I'm preserving heh. Though I have the dual 5 1/4" full height floppies in that.

I may have to mod my Gateway Full tower (5 - 5 1/4" bays I think, and a 3 hard drive mount in the top with a 80mm fan mount next to it, just begging for a raptor array.

That would be a beast.

fantastic work. makes me wonder what i could do with an old case from 98 I have lying around ~_^

great job. makes me wish i still had my inwin q500. had my dad paint it blue, put a 120mm fan in the front, put an 80mm fan in the side, and put a 20x4 lcd in the front. got rid of the case when i had both hds in my raid 0 array die in at the same time though :(

There is that I suppose. If I had the knowledge and skills I'd try to build a SFF box out of those displays, they're cheap enough.

I have that same case, Its made by Aopen, it has a updated rounder front benzel, I have painted mine gloss black and have be working on it being a monster RAID server for video storage.

old k6-2 with huge AMD cooling and sitting under a desk waiting on a amd64 upgrade.

thanks again everyone for the great feedback, im glad you like it :)

Nice work, where did you find the res for the WC?
Its custom, I had a guy make it for me.

Sorry everyone, the work-in-progress pictures have been temporarily removed because it killed my bandwidth. I can't handle 6GB per day

You can still see the finished pictures here.
