I have an eView 17f3 monitor that has had the end cut off. I want to put a new end on it as it would be cheaper than a new monitor. I have absolutely no idea which wires go to which pins in the connector. The old end doesn't have enough cable left to trace them so that's out. I was wondering if somebody knew what the wire colors might mean.
there are 11 wire going into the monitor to two conectors with the following colors:
Connecort 1 (CRT board)
1- bare
2- Gray
3- Bare
4- Pink
5- Bare
6 - Light Blue
^(22awg wires)
Connector 2 (main board)
1- Yellow
2- Brown
3- Green
4- Orange
5- Black
^ (24AWG wires)
Wire sheild is grounded chassis using a spade connection.
I think that Pink = pin 1 (Red), Grey = pin 2 (green), and LB= pin 3 (blue) on the DB15HD connector. and that the bare wire are the signal grounds for pins 6 7 and 8. but I don't want to assume and I still have no idea what the other colors may be. If someone could help to figure these out I'd really like to get this fixed.
Thanks
Ryan
PS I believe this a Proview 786N monitor since there is a Proview label inside the plastic case and the model no on the label says 786N, but I could be wrong. I've also googled for replacement cables, and schematic to no end, I can't find anything.that's helpful.
