EVGA X58 FTW 3 - Best Mobo in its Price Range?

I'm looking to build an X58 gaming rig and have everything picked except the motherboard. I came across this motherboard and I'm just wondering if I'm making the right choice.

What advantages does that motherboard have over the EVGA one, I've heard a lot of buzz around it, but never really looked into it seeing as it was out of my price range.

If you look towards the end of that thread it appears that the vreg temps were a misread and that a bios update fixed it all.

in that price range, I say P6X58D-P is better...

I am off from EVGA since their BIOS always giving me troubles, and NB always higher than average.

well thats great news, may just get one me self. if you read even farther down the thread you will see that evga is offering replacement boards to those folks wanting "accurate" vreg temp readings. i still may be in for 1, i dont live or die by vreg temp reporting.

I had a SATA port go on my SLI LE today - looking for a new MB since this one is going for RMA.

What's the best one $300 or under at the moment? I really wish I didn't miss that R3E deal
