EVGA Warranty

I have a GTX580 that was never registered that I bought used. Does the new warranty process apply to this card as well? Do I have to register it as I might sell it and upgrade soon?

Im pretty sure you have to register it for the warranty to cover you. I know they even asked for a proof of purchase.

For original owners without a valid invoice and users that have not purchased the product from an authorized reseller, the warranty begins from the date the product was shipped from EVGA's warehouse."

The GTX 580 was launched in November 2010. Did the person you bought it from happen to mention when he bought it?

You're toast as far as I know. Back when the 580 was sold I'm pretty sure there was a "within 30 days of purchasing NEW" policy, and you had to have the original invoice too. The warranty terms DID change (eliminated lifetime warranty, no registration required, etc) near the end of the 580 days (before they introduced the 680) and your card may or may not be covered by the new warranty.

When was the card originally purchased?
