Going to be placing an order for a PSU in the next day or so. It will be powering a rather simple PC, no SLI setup, about 5-6 drives and a Intel 4670K and either Coffee Lake or Ryzen build in the coming months. I may do some overclocking on the CPU when I upgrade my platform. Otherwise my system is a typical gaming PC.

A few months back I was pointed towards the EVGA Super NOVA line. It seems the G3 650 is perhaps one of the best PSUs on the market ($90). But I am looking to save money if possible and ran across the SuperNOVA B2 750 ($80) and SuperNOVA B1 750 ($70).

Reliability wise, will all of these PSUs last a good 6+ years of frequent use? Is there any noticeable difference between any of these units?

Skip the 750 B1: It isn't as good as the others, by a significant margin. Worse, it is not made by SuperFlower - but is instead made by FSP using that company's not-so-good Raider platform.

If the price difference is only 10$, then it doesn't worth the tradeoff by choosing something that is so much inferior to the G3 unit.
(*Also, with no SLI/Crossfire setup, there is absolutely no reason to prefer a 750watt PSU over the 650G3 model)

As I said in your other thread on this question....

I have the B2 750W in one of my machines, no issues and it's quiet.
It's a solid Superflower PSU.

.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I entirely forgot that I made a PSU thread prior to this one. I'll probably place my order tonight. B1 is out of the question then. If the B2 is a decent Superflower build I'll consider it, but at $10 more the G3 looks excellent.

All three are good units and will serve you well. The G3 is Gold rated where the others are Bronze, so naturally it is more efficient. If warranties are your thing. Both the B1 and B2 are five. The 650w G3 is seven. If you step up to the 750w G3 you get 10 years.

Good choice. The G3 would be mine too. Being the very heart of the system, good quality PSU are a peeve of mine.

I picked up a EVGA G3 750 today the power supply I've been using is like from 2013 Corsair 750 which is semi modular I hope EVGA Supernova G3 is good picked it up off New Egg. I was reading reviews at Johnny Guru and even though he gives the New Plat. Seasonic good reviews the reviews on New Egg tell a different story so it was either Corsair or EVGA. I have liked Corsair in the past but decided to go EVGA and hope for the best.

I wouldn't change out the power supply but get some pretty bad coil whine during games that load up it's the loudest thing in my PC when it happens.
