this kinda sucks...

If you are making a joke then you really made me laugh. If you are serious, then WOW!

RX= recertified. Its not a new retail product therefore it does not qualify for the Stepup program. It also only comes with a 90 day warranty. You probably received it in a brown box with an EVGA logo on it instead of the retail box.

In many cases, video cards that are sold as part of systems are also not eligible unless they are an approved vendor.

i bought the card here on hard forum. it came in the retail box... the part number on the card was not on the website so i used the closest one to it. i had 256-P2-N527-AX but they had 256-P2-N527-FX and 256-P2-N527-RX. i could not find any info on the FX one so i looked up the RX one and it was the same exact one as the card i have.

You don't have a receipt from an authorized vendor since you bought it here, so it wouldn't matter much anyways.

oh and i also just read that used cards are not eligable for step up... darn...

Yeah, if you bought it from someone on hardforum its not warrantied or stepupable. Those are the terms. Seth, it only has to be a receipt from any reseller not necessarily on the reseller list. It has to be an actual business, not another person or ebay seller.
