i have gone through with my step-up sent them my card onna monday, they recieved it 3/30/2006 2:06:09 PM...honestly how long does it take to test a card...
i wouldnt care if they held the card for another 2 days... i just want some sort of update.. as in (we tested the card it ran fine....we'll ship it at the end of the day)i understand they dont work on the weekend... but that would have given them 2 full days to test the card...the card testing should be a quick process run it for like 10-15mins running a 3d app... check for problems, temps... inspect card for damage and whatnot

what im tryin to say is.... how long does it take for them to get the card and test it...i was excited to get this card...now im dreadin it

yah im waiting on my card too.....i placed my order the very first day the first day they came out(early on too!) for the 7900gtx. It took forever to get through the waiting line though, and unfortunetly it seemed that my # in it got bugged because other people behind me were getting approved for the RMA before me :< Anyway i finally called and cleared things up, got my RMA approval and shipped the card through staples(big mistake). It took over a week to get there and now im just awaiting my new card(mine got there the 30th of march like yours). I haven't even recieved a email or anything yet letting me know if ive been approved or what have you. Good luck with yours though.

yeah i placed the step-up numerous times.. originally for the 7600GT then back and forth between the 7900GT

i wanna call them...and ask them...but afraid that will delay it even more heh

heh im only gettin the GT.. u must be going crazy waiting on the GTX

Ok i called the customer service, he told me they shipped it out already, or will today... gave ma tracking number for ups... which didnt work.

Mine went through fast, they received my card on a Friday (3/24) and shipped it out on Monday (3/27).

You have to wait until late at night for UPS tracking numbers to work. They may generate a number today, as soon as the box is packed, but it takes a few hours to work itself into the system. If it doesn't show up by late tonight or tomorrow morning, then maybe you got a bad number.

I have same problem .i sent my card and Evga received it on march 28th ,i havent heard anything since... I did call customer support monday 4/3 he acted like he didnt know what was happening. I am thinking with somany ordered, and so many 7900gt problems that they sent my card to some other customer. im pissed to say the least...

Haha, yeah. evga received my card on Friday, and shipped my new one out today. I can't complain.

jedi i would call them... i dont understand how it can take so long to test a videocard... 20mins at the most

Well i sent in my card 2 weeks ago friday and got it last week wednesday and i used 2 day air but it got here in 1 day not 2 so i was prefectly satisfied. theres people on evga forums saying stuff liek thsi too like ive waited 2 weeks and still no response from evga.

They received my card(7800GT CO) on Monday, March 27th, and only today they've shipped out the 7900GT CO SC.

It appears nVidia is not shipping enough chips to the manufacturers.

Then why in the hell did Evga want my card?! if They dont have my Step up one??? I had to go out and buy a 50$ card so i could even use my pc for school.

I just got my 7900 GTX yesterday .... they recieved my card on a Wed. and shipped my step up card out the following monday. So for me it was 3 business days + 1 weekend for them to test my old card and send out my new one. I had to buy a temporary card to use my PC during the step-up process, but that is what good return policies are for =). Even though cross shipping would be ideal for this, EVGA kicks ass for being the only people in the industry to offer this ... 7800 GTX --> 7900 GTX for 20$ + shipping makes me happy.

did evga notify you it shipped? they didnt mine. i had to call today, it supposedly shipped thursday..

The card has been shipped via UPS. The tracking number is: 1ZA1615RA757984207. We apologize for the delayed response, and any inconvenience this has caused you. Let us know if you need anymore assistance.

EVGA Customer Service"

that was from them

well I have called Evga twice today. first call a guy named Mike talked to me saying my card was shipped thursday and gave a bogus tracking number#. then i goto there website it says my card hasnt been shipped. i called a second time a guy named jerry answered ,i asked him what the F&*( is going on i then get put on hold 12 minutes he comes back and acts like hes stalling/confused, and gives me something about Mike must be mistaken. and allot of card's are being shipped today, but he cant find out if mine is one of them!!! I will NEVER buy that ****ty EvGa card again. Now Im waiting for a call back to see if my card is shipping. Now I would post this on there forum ,but i havent been able to post there for week's.

took them exactly 1 week for them to process and ship mine, which was longer than what i expected it to be, but still decent.

Update. well I had head of Evga customer support call me just now and assured me it was sent. and gave me a Good Ups#. ROFL after i posted what i wrote above in there forum's (topic was deleted by Evga!)..

some of you guys make it sound like there is one guy sitting there with nothing to do but wait for your single card to come in and test it.........

there are thousands of people stepping up, so they have those to test, plus RMA's from regular purchases, etc..etc....

have a little understanding of the situation here guys, chances are, with all that is going on with this 7900 stuff, they are likely not even testing all of them, or maybe a simple boot into windows with no artifacts...ok, it's good.....type of testing

i am saying, given the circumstances, you should have some understanding, most companies take weeks, not days to process RMA's, EVGA is already about the fastest i know of, Crucial was very fast too for me, but no matter which company it is you are always going to hear of a few people who got slower service than expected

also take into account we are talking about the step up program here, it's something you can't even get with any other company

so what if your free or extremely cheap 7900GT or GTX takes a few more days than expected to get processed, it wont kill you, besides, i keep a spare piece of crap PCI video card and spare cheapo stick of memory here to use while my RMA's go out, if waiting a week to use your PC is so terrible, maybe you should do the same, be pro-active, take control of the situation yourself, stop blaming them for your not being able to play CS

they already processe the rma before they even received the card...i was saying how come it takes so long to test a card...

They recieved mine on Friday so it looks like I'll be waiting a week to get my 7900GT unless I get lucky.

i highly doubt evga is going to do the step up program for much longer. they have to be taking a hit and it's got to be a huge pain in the ass.

That's his point, if they're processing hundreds of RMA"s daily, it will take time. Perhaps they had a huge shipment of step up cards go in on the same day. They need time to plug each card in and test it. If they get 100 cards a day, at 15 minutes a card (someone mentioned that earlier), that's still 25 hours a day.

I'm still waiting on my NEC DVD burner RMA from December, so be happy.

there test department is probaly not there shipping department...

if that was the case... i wouldnt have been kinda upset
