I have a 7800gt co se comnig friday and if i use step up proggy how does it work, wel i only have to ppay diff on, say new 7900gtx or w/e.
 
you have 3 months to submit your request for a different card. you have to pay the difference between what you payed and the price on evga's website
 
and they really over charge on there retail prices. Hopefully in 3 months the gtx will be around the gt price so i will only spend 100 bucks for the upgrade instead of 250 extra now.

IF evga lets you step up. Even though a better card is out and you are within you're 90 days, they can refuse the step up, as they see fit.
