I just picked up an EVGA GTX 970 FTW today to replace my 770 Lightning. After I got everything installed and did a clean driver install, I decided to do a power cycle for good measure. After I did a full shutdown and start, the display comes on locked at 1080p (my monitor is a 1440p ASUS PB278Q connected through DP) and can't be changed until you do a reboot. I did a couple of more power cycles and got the same result. I turned off the UEFI Windows boot feature on my mobo and the problem goes away.

Its the damnedest thing. My 770 Lightning didn't have this issue, so I'm convinced that its probably a BIOS GOP implementation issue with the card. It's by no means a deal breaker seeing how I only shutdown my system a couple times a month, but I was just curious if this is an isolated issue.
