So, I've had a Geforce GTX460 from EVGA for a while now, When i got it both myself and two of my freinds got one. Mine has been very good to me in all my games but the 2D preformace is just awful. I cant run Dual moniters. Programs like AutoCAD and even VMWare Workstation 8 have tons of latancy while running. It's gotton so bad that explorer will stop resonding. I Dont know why that card is so bad at 2D appliactions, I ran the Passmark Benachmark and 2D gets a 21 as a score. Niether of the my friends have have this problem with there cards, do i just have a bad card? I do have the latest driver from evga installed.

Some more info on the comuter;
Windows 7 x64 Pro.
(2x) Intel E5345
EVGA GeForce GTX460
8GB PC2-5300F
HP p400 SAS Card w/ (2x) 146GB SAS

my guess is its the drivers. try playing with different versions of them from nvidia's driver page.

Try what sirmonkey said and try the most recent drivers from nvidia. Also try driver sweeper and completely remove any old drivers and the reinstall the new ones and see if that helps.

no need for driver sweeper, nvidia has the option in the installer to completely remove the old drivers before reinstalling the new ones which actually works surprisingly.

Well I went and tryed a few of the nvidia drives with no imporvment. I then installed the beta drive and still there was no imporvement. I know that the drive that was there in the frist place was the correct driver becuase I insatlled it from the CD that evga gave me, and it was the same version that nvida's site had at that time. I really dont think its the driver and this point... I may just get a new card.
