EVGA Customer Support (thumbs down)

after reading this my steup i started yesterday is in queue 67. my window expires tmw. i hope that isn't held against me. i just want to stepup to my new card for $27 :). my stepup was approved previously but i changed my mind. i don't see why this one would not be approved.

As long as you enter the queue within your stepup window, you have nothing to worry about anymore. The 90 days no longer applies, its only to ENTER the queue. You can be in the queue as long as it takes for you to get to #1

well hopefully not too long ;)
ready to try crysis at max settings 1920x1080 :D

Yeah, you might need SLI to run at that RES. Its a very demanding game.
well i have xp, so i can't enable super high, just high ;), i know about the hack yes, but for some reason it didn't work ;)

i was getting playable fps at 1920x1080 at medium settings on my current 8800gts 640 superclocked card. i think with the boost of the new 8800gts i should be able to get high settings to work decently :).

AH, okay. And the G92 cores seem to play crysis better than the G80s as well. But you wont see amazing fps at such a high res. I know... i ran it on high with my 320MB and it was choking.:D

lol i was getting on medium about 20-25fps. not the best but it really wasn't that bad. if i can get that fps on high with the new card once i send this current one in, i'll be happy with that :D

I believe that RussianHAXOR is a mod for EVGA here in these forums. Try to get a hold of him and see if that can help resolve this issue.

My experience with EVGA has been good overall. I was initially irked about the 2 dead 8800GTS 640 that I received, but the third and current was an A3. Core / memory is at 676 and 1060 under the latest WHQL drivers. I had one bad costumer support event that almost left me swearing, but after speaking to somebody higher up, resolution was obtained.

Good luck, hit up Russian and let us know how this works out.

evga won't allow my card to stepup. they said since i bought it on ebay it is ineligible. yet, when i tried the stepup last time they approved it on this same card (i didn't go through the stepup at that time). i am very disapointed that evga is trying to get out of stepping up my card when they did before. did it have something to do with the fact the card last time was cheaper than the price i paid on the card i had? $340 vs the $270 for the 8800gt at the time? the card i want to stepup too costs more than the card i bought ($367 vs. $340) and i don't mind paying the difference but evga doesn't seem to want the stepup to go through this time. this is a very shady company that is selective in stepup's. i suggest avoiding them at all costs. i know i will from now on.

i posted this in the other thread but in case some don't read both threads its here too. i'm extremely pissed off and upset. why allow a previous stepup on the same card but not this time?

This is not true, since day 1 the stepup program and warranty clearly stated that you cant buy things off ebay. if you read the terms and conditions its very specific.
