Evga bstock 980ti 320

Do keep in mind that Newegg was selling 980ti at $400, and it's really $375 discount when they were running the Paypal promo and there's a $30 MIR going on.
That's what I ended up buying instead.

There are some nice prices on 970s too. $169? wow! Too bad shipping is $15 on every card. I would be very tempted by that 980ti hydro is I didn't already have a 1070.

Holy shit. Ordered a 980Ti SC with the blower style cooler. ~$360 after taxes and 2 day shipping. When I got the email with the $145 GTX 950 I thought this was a joke, but damn those are some sweet deals on the higher end cards.

Would be a nice upgrade to someone who wants a $300+ card with some muscle, but I have a 970, which honestly is good enough for what I use it for for now, so no need.

That is actually a sweet fuckin deal. I would grab this in a heart beat if I didn't have a 1070 already.

I would have rather had a 1070 but not for $60+ more. For 1080P this thing will be a monster :)

Nabbed a 980 Ti FTW Gaming ACX 2.0+ for $343 with 3-day shipping (Classified/Hydro were all out of stock). It'll serve as a reserve/backup card until I get a Pitan X/Vega later this year. Very big thanks to the OP for catching this deal! :)

If you check out the "regular" GTX 980 Ti section on EVGA's website, they, too, have discounted deals w/MIR. ;)

its one hell of a card for 1440p too. Especially with the overclocks these cards get.

paying double for 30% improvement in a 1080 seems silly. this is a nice deal.

(overclocked that 30% shrinks even further)

which of the cards has the least amount of coil whine and doesn't sound like a boeing with the fans? Is the hydro quiet?

So, I was about to pull the trigger on the 980ti FTW and didnt even mind the 18.98 shipping. But 22.61$ sales tax for Florida???????????????? No thanks.. that brought the total to 361.08

361.08 is a bad deal for 980ti? Common now! People in forums are asking for more lol

I think it's too close to the 1070 price to be honest. I see the 980ti sell on forums for $350 pretty regularly.

It looked great at $319 however.

Yea, that's how they rope us in. The 60 buck premium for a 1070 will probably net a longer use life due to new gen and what that means for longterm support.

from what I've read from recent reviews, it seems in most games the 980ti is only 7-10 fps more than a 1060 at the resolution my display resolution is. not sure it is worth the $70-ish extra in cost for that little gain

Well if you keep cherry picking reviews, the 1060 is only a few frames faster than a $179 RX 470. So really everyone should just buy 470s since nothing is worth the extra cost.

GTX 1060 or refurbished GTX980TI. Yea, this guy won't benefit from having a batter card.

If you're asking such a question here you are lost.:)

RX470 actually makes the rx480 look bad. For 1080p I would neither recommend 480 or 1060. RX470 reviews I have seen almost everyone say they overclock decent and sustain their clocks really well. So for 1080p its a killer card. Spend up to 200 and keep the rest of the cash. It will handle your 1080p needs just fine. Since it sustains clocks better and mostly available with after market cooling from the start its not a bad buy even at 200. The way it sustains the clocks better it actually becomes faster than the 480 at 1080p, they all seem to run at 1350+ on the core sustained.

MSI card in the review I raid was sustaining 1380 core all the way through and running in the 60s. Get the one with 8 pin and it clocks pretty damn good and sustains em well.

Must. not. buy.

That 970 FTW at $190 looks mighty tasty though....

Broke-Ass-Broke vet. So my GTX 750 SC will have to do for another year. No complaints.

I think he's just lamenting that he can't pick up a much better card for a great deal due to lack of finance at this time. Which these are some fine prices, and it's a good time to invest in a new GPU. It's crazy how much the GPU market has just compressed prices with the release of Pascal. I didn't really know what to expect and was a bit pessimistic, but then the 1070 came out at ~400$ and offered >= 980Ti performance for ~200$ less on average (thankfully I paid like 520-540 or so for mine, but that's how these always go). Huge chain reaction happens where the entire previous gens just hit rock bottom prices. The 980 Ti went to ~350 (or to original 970 prices for this deal), the 980 and 970 dropped like crazy too, and just... just price cuts across the board. Thing is, it's not like the resolutions and games just changed overnight, either, so the cards still perform just as admirably in games.

For up through 1440p, the 980Ti was a more than sufficient card. The only card that really pushed the envelope was the 1080 but the funny thing is I don't think that many people need it, as it's still insufficient for 4k, and it's kind of overkill for 1440p... Even among us, many of us play at ~1440p (or maybe at 21:9 1440p). It's just that now the previous highest gen card (performing equally or better than the best Titan to date) is like around the same price as where the previous best budget (970) card used to be. This doesn't really happen every gen, either. Probably one of the bigger steps up in tech we've had in a bit, considering the 900 series was mostly all well priced, as compared to the 700 series which was weirdly priced and not really a huge step up. One 980 Ti is ~300-320$ and is sufficient for about 90% of even the most enthusiast gamers' needs, as long as they don't play maxed out at 4k. For 1080p, you can get ~970's and such for ridiculously cheap. It's a good time to be buying for almost anyone.

Anyone know where I can possibly find a gtx 970 for ~175 shipped. That's about as high as I'm willing to go. Cheaper is better obviously. Even the used prices on these things are still holding up..
