Chumbo.com has my BFG 6800gt on eternal back-order with little hope of getting here this week. So my attention turns to alternative card makers.

What does everyone think of eVGA and their 6800gt?

thx

AS safe as it gets.

No problem's so far here. It may not offer the warantee that bfg does, but the trade up program is intriguing and free farcry is sweet.

I just bought a eVGA 6800 Ultra and I think it's the best money I've spent in a long long time (on my pc)

Hmmmm, I have been wondering the same thing. eVGA may get my cash sooner than later :)

i love my eVGA 6800 GT.

and I didnt have to wait on any back orders at all from eVGA.com

I ordered a 6800GT and it came in 2 days. It is an awsome card and I love it. I have OCed to 430/1180 with stock cooling but you dont need to OC cause it runs everything so well. As far as I have seen eVGA makes a great card and gets it to you quick. It is every bit as good as a BFG card. :)

Great company.. Ray is a cool guy there. Tiger deals with him almost exclusively and he has time for a friendly hello.

eVGA and BFG are the two best graphics card companies for nVIDIA. you can't go wrong with either.

what bout leadtek??? that HUGE ass heatsink is fucking IMPRESSIVE..........

and as far as i can tell evga is as good as bfg....

i love my evga 6800gt. i was hesitent but i canceled my gateway x800xt and best buy 6800u
and ordered evga at end of june. 2 days later i got my 6800 been using it since it overclocks much better then my BBATI 9800p ever did.

if i was air cooling i might wait for the leadtek i think that has the big copper cooler. cuz those nvidia refrence fans are crap if your used to quite systems.. i watercool so i didnt care

Just preordered a 6800 Ultra - I've read good things about the company - I emailed their staff a few days ago with question and got a pretty quick, English response (that says a lot).... I figure since it's all reference at this point, there's really no danger. Additionally, their 1 year warranty and 3 month trade-up program sounds good. What really did it for me was their Supreme Service "Burn In" - basically they torture all the cards for 72 hours straight to make sure they can hold up under the most strenuous circumstances.... thus the chances of a card that needs RMAing decreases greatly....

I've got my fingers crossed that this was a good decision!

sorry to disappoint u jhtevans, but the supreme service only comes with 6800 ultra EE and those go for $550 they are hand picked ultras that are o/c and burned in for 72 hours straight, u cant just go ahead and order them u have to win it in a sort of lottery they have their every month. When u do then u pay the 550 lol ... but it comes with a lot of other goodies so its a deal.

But anyways they are a good company from what i heard, and u will hear from me tomorow (monday) because i got a 6800 gt pre ordered from them thats suppose to ship on monday so if it does i will be happy, but if not
