eVGA 680i SATA RAID failure

Anyone else having issues with the SATA RAID on this board? I saw over at the eVGA forums that a couple other people are experiencing similar issues.

This only occurs when I'm writing to disk while trying to doing something else. For example, I just loaded up WoW, it started downloading the new patch update in the background, and XP popped up a bunch of nvraid errors in eventvwr. It also split my RAID 1 and I had to reboot. After reboot, the board didn't recognize the array, so I had to actually hard power off, boot up, then completely rebuild the raid in the BIOS manager.

Thankfully I have RAID 1, so no loss of data, however, it's quite disconcerting.

Here's a screenshot of the issues.

While typing this, I uploaded this screenshot and it happened _again_ /sigh

you may want to open that bmp back up in paint and re save it as a jpg file. 5.5 megs is a bit large for a screenshot. paint will take it down to a quarter of a meg or better. won't take as long for people to download and wont take as long for you to upload. plus it wont kill whatever hosting you're using.

Heh. That was jpg. Reconverted it to png. Much smaller.

Damn, crap like this scares me. I have 3 sata hard drives setup for a raid 5...I should be able to test it tomorrow, i'll let you know how it works on my machine. None of the eVga reps have answered in that thread yet, I read it in its entirety and its definitely a huge problem.

Please do test this in RAID 5. I'd be curious to see if that level is susceptible to the same problems. Hopefully we can get a response from eVGA soon if enough people with this issue post about it.
