Scrapped Fermi, got straight to work on a successor (but a late one no doubt, much later than even fermi) or are you happy with their decision to commence forth with a good card, albiet hotter than anyone would like and more even in performance with current Ati cards?

Me personally? I think they should've scrapped it for a successor built more efficient to save from the attacks of guys like Charlie Demerajan.
 
If they did that, they would have suffered even more massive attacks on their credibility than they already have now. At least they have a product now, warts and all. Can you imagine another year of rebranding?
 
The scrapped production on the gtx 2xx series last year so if they had not come out with something they would have been insane.
 
They got to release something. they are already working on future gen stuff already but they got to earn money to pay all their employees.
 
NVidia probably started working on a successor to Fermi over a year ago. Just like how AMD starts working on GPUs about 3 years before release.
